Looking Ahead...

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday
Tuesday, February 21 we gather at 5:30pm for pancakes and games as we celebrate Shrove Tuesday, the last day before Lent begins. The following day, we gather at 7pm for Ash Wednesday worship.

Next Sunday…
First Hour begins its Lenten series reading Rob Bell’s “Love Wins.” In Worship, we begin our journey to the cross and the tomb this First Sunday in Lent. We will also receive new members into the life of the congregation. Following Worship, those involved in the “Song of Mark” rehearse.

Sunday, March 4
The youth and adults who traveled to Boston will lead worship… with a twist. We will bring back our experience of worshiping on Boston Common with Common Cathedral, an outdoor church. We too will worship outdoors, no matter what the weather, so please dress accordingly. Some chairs will be available for those who find it difficult to stand.

Following Worship we will create kits for the Windham Area No Freeze Project. We will be collecting white cotton socks, band aides, granola bars, and chapstick… please bring these items to church over the next two weeks.
A Prayer...

Holy God, you have revealed the glory of your love in Jesus Christ, and have given us a share in your Spirit. May we who listen to Christ follow faithfully, and, in the dark places where you send us, reveal the light of your gospel. Amen.
This Sunday...
We listen to stories of mountaintops and transformations.

Howard Drescher leads First Hour sharing mental health resources available in the state of Connecticut.

In Worship, we offer thanks to God for the ministry of Michael Silvestri. Paul Tanner leads Children's Worship Circle.

Following Worship, those interested in covenantal membership gather to learn about the ministries of the congregation.
